MAP presents a celebration of Pine Lake's unique natural environment, featuring photographs by Jennifer Bridges, Cindy Brown, Matthew Collins, Dwight Harriman, Kari Loomis, Julie Odom and Danielle Ross. Live music by the Mike Z Jazz Combo, and other surprises.
Join us Saturday, June 16, 7-10 p.m., for the Opening Ceremony and reception at the Clubhouse, 300 Clubhouse Drive. The lighting of the wall will take place at sunset.
Driving into Pine Lake
this spring, you may notice on your right an empty wall (or rather, a lighted
fence with a dozen plus display panels) along Clubhouse Drive, adjacent to the
Clubhouse and fronting the City's Public Works building. What Pine Lakers have
been calling "The Art Wall" has been beautifully landscaped by
neighborhood gardeners, but it remains empty, and its lights are dark at night.
All that will change
on June 16, when Pine Lake holds an Opening Ceremony for "Public Works at
Public Works." This inaugural installation will feature photographs
celebrating Nature and the Environment in Pine Lake, "Arts' Natural
Habitat." Work by Pine Lake photographers Jennifer Bridges, Cindy M.
Brown, Matthew J. Collins, Dwight Harriman, Kari Loomis, Julie Odom and
Danielle S. Ross will be included.
The public is invited
to celebrate with us! Meet the artists,
enjoy live music, and be there for the Lighting of the Art Wall (around 9 p.m.)
at sunset. For more information, email PLArtWall@gmail.com or check this site
for updates.
